A NOTE FROM PET RESCUE NORTH, INC.
Dear fellow rescuers and animal lovers,
Recently there was an article in the newspaper telling of the
services of No More Homeless Pets. While I agree this organization has done a
great service for our community I feel that there is another wonderful lady and
her group who have also contributed to the plight of all the animals in our area
and surrounding areas. I feel that she and her group too should be recognized
and have an article published so that the public will be aware of all the good
works they have performed since 2004,To me, Dr. Gionet is a hero for the animals
and has never been acknowledged for her dedication.
I am asking that you contact the reporter who wrote the
article on NMHP and respectfully request that she do an in depth interview with
Dr. Gionet about her past works and future plans to help all the unfortunate
animal population.
The following is a brief run down about Dr. Gionet and her
group and the name and contact email of the reporter.
Thanking you in advance,
Peggy Haynes

Dr. Gionet is a member of a very active non-profit veterinary hospital totally dedicated
to lower fee spay and neuter as well as to
education of the public and higher standard veterinary care at lower fees. She
does not have the massive subsidies that FCNMHP does, and they depend on the
professional service fees as well as donations and volunteers to help them
provide their services. They work many long and hard hours each week and travel
all over northeast Florida and southeastern Georgia with their mobile hospital,
providing lower fees and yet very individualized services to pet owners and
feral cat colonies, as well as
promoting humane education and
awareness to communities and the general pet-caring public. They would like very
much to also be mentioned as a local resource for not only lower fee spay and
neuter (and wellness care and micro- chipping and pet care education.) They have been
operating with great dedication since 2004, and provided exceptional and
compassionate veterinary care at drastically reduced fees to people and pets
from Lakeland, Georgia to north of Brunswick, to Palm Coast and as far west as Cedar Key, as well as In
Jacksonville, and they travel
where they are needed (often to areas with no veterinary care at
all.)
